Het kerkgebouw van de Gereformeerde Kerk (PKN) te Driesum-Wouterswoude (Driezum-Wâlterswâld) wordt grondig gerenoveerd.

Zo’n beetje alles wordt onder handen genomen. Behalve de kerkzaal en de toren is men momenteel ook bezig met het restaureren van het exterieur van zo ongeveer de hele kerk.  Kapotte stenen worden uitgehakt, scheuren gerepareerd, en wat al niet.

Zo nu en dan worden op de website van de kerk foto’s gepubliceerd van de restauratie, zodat de verbouw van nabij kan worden gevolgd. De fotoreportage wordt regelmatig aangevuld met nieuwe foto’s.

Major Renovation of the Church in Wâlterswâld.

The church building of the ‘Gereformeerde’ Church (PKN) in Driezum–Wâlterswâld (Driesum-Wouterswoude) is undergoing a comprehensive renovation.

Nearly every part of the building is being refurbished. Apart from the sanctuary and the tower, work is currently focused on restoring almost the entire exterior of the church. Damaged bricks are being carefully removed and replaced, cracks are being repaired, and many other restoration tasks are being carried out.

The church regularly publishes photographs (see the Dutch version of this article) of the restoration work on its website, allowing people to follow the progress of the renovation up close. The photo gallery is updated regularly with new images.
